The Independence Seaport Museum is located on Columbus Blvd. & is impacted by the Penn’s Landing/I-95 CAP project https://www.parkatpennslanding.com

PARKING

The Seaport Museum does not have a dedicated lot.

We would encourage ride share, public transit & carpooling to the celebration.

Public Lombard Circle lot.

Located at Columbus Boulevard and Lombard Circle (800ft to Museum). This lot is run by the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation. Daily rate of $20. More information can be found here.

Metered street parking in Old City.

This section of Philadelphia is a short walk to/from the Independence Seaport Museum. You can also find garages in this area like the Autopark at Old City (125 S 2nd Street).

The absolute closest parking lot (but $45+) is located next to the building (50ft to Museum), in the Hilton Penn’s Landing Parking Garage on Columbus Boulevard.  If you follow signs off Columbus Blvd for Hilton Parking/Seaport Parking, it will lead you to this lot.  Rates vary.

We are looking forward to remembering and celebrating Fred’s life with you on Saturday!

Everyone is welcome, feel free to bring your family/significant other (kids are welcome).

We realize schedules can get crazy, we are happy for you to join the service (4pm) or the celebration (5pm) or both!!!

Below is some useful information on getting to the museum and parking.

Recommended Parking:

  1. We suggest that you do NOT follow signs for “Seaport Parking” and that you park in the “Lombard Circle Lot”.  The lot is located at Columbus Blvd and Lombard Circle (800ft from Museum) - 2 lights before (northbound) or after (southbound) the museum.  Daily rate of $20.

  2. You can walk along the river walk and enter the museum at the riverside entrance.

Passenger Drop-off and Alternative Parking:

  1. If you follow signs for “Hilton Parking”/“Seaport Parking”, you will be able to drop off passengers for the event and then exit back onto Columbus Blvd.   *There is a parking lot where you drop passengers off, this is the Hilton Hotel’s lot and the rate is $45-50.*

  2. Metered street parking or parking garage in Old City: This section of Philadelphia is a short walk to/from the Independence Seaport Museum
